Charity HR in a Box
Small charities are just as at risk from staff issues as big companies. They can even less afford the payments that can follow mistakes. From working with charities over the past two years, I have now started a support package for not-for-profit organisations.
Employment law changes twice a year. Employment case law changes on a continual basis. It takes a lot of time to keep on top of the legislation. We have developed an employment contract and handbook that has been customised for use by small charities – Charity HR in a Box.
The package includes an employment contract developed over the past 7 years to comprehensively protect employers’ rights; a podcast which offers an audio explanation of the contract, clarifying what you can change and the implications of doing so; and an employee handbook.
This is ideal for small charities that employ fewer than five people. The package also includes one hour’s telephone consultancy. In that time we discuss the charity’s situation and customise their paperwork. They don’t need in-house HR. They do need to have a solid foundation with paperwork that protects them as much as possible.
